WHAT IT REPRESENTS & HOW IT WORKS

The India Chemical Merchants & Manufacturers Association, also known as ICMMA, is a well-known representative body of merchants and manufacturers of various chemicals and dyes used in numerous industries across India. The association was founded in 1942 and is affiliated with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Calcutta (ICC), a prestigious chamber of trade and industry. In addition to this, it is also a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi, as well as the Federation of All India Dyes & Chemical Merchants Association in Chennai.

ICMMA keeps its members informed about industry developments, taxation news updates, and other relevant information through a dedicated WhatsApp group named ICMMA NEWS UPDATES, providing instant updates. The association also provides a WhatsApp group platform called ICMMA BUSINESS MART, where member firms can place their buy/sell requirements relating to their needs for different chemicals. 

ICMMA is committed to promoting fair trade business practices and encourages its member firms to avoid litigation through arbitration. The association plays a crucial role in representing the interests of its members and lobbying for a conducive environment for the growth of the chemical trade and industry in India.

As we stand at the threshold of a new era marked by growth and opportunity, I am proud to note that our Association is well-positioned to champion the interests of our members while contributing meaningfully to the broader development of society. The Indian chemical industry has experienced significant progress in recent years, and I remain confident that this positive trajectory will continue in the years ahead.

Our Association, comprising some of the most dynamic and forward-looking manufacturers and merchants in the country, is committed to playing a pivotal role in this ongoing growth story. We recognise the critical importance of our industry in shaping the nation’s future and remain dedicated to collaborating with government bodies and key stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Dear Members,
It gives us immense pleasure to present the Members Directory 2026 of the Indian Chemical Manufacturers and Merchants Association (ICMMA). This directory stands as a testament to the dedication, enterprise, and collective efforts of our members, who have played a pivotal role in shaping the chemical trade and industry across Eastern India.
 
ICMMA has consistently upheld its commitment to promoting ethical business practices, fostering meaningful business relationships, and advocating for the sustained growth and development of the chemical sector. This directory reflects our core values and our pursuit of excellence, while showcasing the achievements and capabilities of our esteemed members.
 
The directory features over 200 members representing a diverse range of industries, including jute, tea, textiles, leather, plastics engineering; agro-industries, paper, paints, rubber, and construction; water treatment, glass and ceramics, electronics; as well as food processing, coal, lubricants, power generation, mining, and shipping. Each member has been carefully vetted to ensure that readers have access to reliable, high-quality products and services from some of the most reputable organizations in the industry.
 
ICMMA has always been a proactive advocate for its members. We regularly engage with government and non-government bodies, lead industry delegations, and organize interactive forums with policymakers to discuss and exchange views on current policies. In addition, we actively collaborate with State and Central Government organizations to conduct industrial seminars and buyer-seller meets, thereby promoting the growth of the chemical trade and industry.
 
This Members Directory serves as a valuable resource for all stakeholders, offering insights into the expertise, products, and services of our members. It also provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and meaningful engagement within the industry and beyond.

This directory reflects the continued growth and success of our association, which has established itself as one of the most respected and influential representative bodies of merchants and manufacturers of chemicals and dyes. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our members for their ongoing support and trust.
 
We would also like to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of the team involved in compiling this directory and maintaining the website. The process required significant coordination and collaboration, and despite challenges, the team ensured the timely completion of this edition.

Significant Events and Achievements

Historical Milestones

Hosted impactful industry summit, expanded membership, influenced policy reforms, increased networking opportunities, advanced diversity initiatives, enhanced resource accessibility.

  • KCTMA established with 45 founding members

    In a Kolkata, 45 people founded KCTMA to boost community growth. They met occasionally, discussing ideas for local business support and educational programs. Their dedication and diverse skills attracted more members, turning KCTMA into a vibrant organization .

  • First Chemical Safety Conference organized

    In 1985, the first Chemical Safety Conference was organized by the us. Experts and industry leaders collaborated to discuss safety practices. It succeeded through teamwork, clear communication, and effective planning, focusing on sharing knowledge to improve safety measures across the chemical industry.

  • International partnerships established

    In 2010, we forged an international partnership, bringing together Brazil, Japan, Kenya. Our collective efforts focused on pioneering renewable energy, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture projects. 

  • Digital transformation initiative started

    The Kolkata Chemical Traders Association began using computers and the internet. Members started sending emails to talk to each other and shared updates online. This made communication faster and easier. Everyone could attend online meetings from home, saving time. Members felt connected and ready for the future together.
